Dave and Lawson Heights and Girls

The sophomore year autobiographies, written for Miss Louanne Love’s English class, went on public display in Miss Love’s classroom.
Under the Fishes, therefore, did not include a description of Dave’s interaction with the girls of Saint Vincent Parochial School.
Fortunately for posterity, Dave wrote a novelette about his experiences. I post one brief chapter (I promise):
“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been three weeks since my last confession. I disobeyed my parents five times. I used bad language seven times. I had impure thoughts and touched myself six times. I ate meat on Friday once.”
“Young boys your age die every day. What would have happened to your soul if you had been struck by a car and killed on your way to confession today? You must avoid putting mortal sins on your soul. For your penance, say six Hail Marys and Five Our Fathers.”

This is the final episode of Dave’s Origin Story.
The Crazy One in the Car contains essential episodes from Dave’s Lawson Heights and Latrobe High School life.
I’m working on the story of Dave in Chicago at Loyola University and how his life gets to teaching acting at Northwestern University.
Watch this space.
And thanks for reading.
Dave's Origin Story was excellent. And very illuminating. I look forward with enthusiasm to his future postings about Chicago, Loyola and Beyond. Thank you David! Here's to more splendid chapters!
